Creativity and Storytelling
From children’s media to storytelling and research, here are some recent stories and projects.
Spec Script for Abbott Elementary
Created the final episode of a five episode season arc of Abbott Elementary. In this episode, Abbott has Field day, the aftermath of Melissa’s wedding is revealed, and Greg and Janine’s will-they won’t-they are confronted as field day takes a turn.
Spec script for Arthur
Complete with a season bible, curriculum based in Digital Media Literacy.
The script follows Francine as she discovers her a AI NORA that can write for her. With a book report coming up Francine uses NORA to write her opinions on the subject, and learns the importance of not relying on a machine to write ideas for you.
Children’s Television Research Project
Coded, analyzed and reported on the CTV project as a researcher assistant, looking into how dialects, stereotypes and diversity has changed and evolved in children’s television.
I reported on the findings of this study in a digestible report that could be disrupted to parents and teens to better understand how the media they consumed influenced and impacted their understanding of race, gender and ethnicity.
